Pujan Energy
A 0.45 MW solar venture supplying clean power to industrial clients in Morbi’s ceramic and paper sectors, built from the ground up since 2019.
Built from the
ground up.
I co-founded Pujan Energy in April 2019 with a clear thesis: Gujarat’s industrial clusters were going to need clean, cost-competitive power, and Open Access regulations had finally made it possible to supply it.
The venture has a total installed capacity of 0.45 MW, with 450 KW owned capacity, supplying renewable energy to industrial consumers under Open Access. Our clients are primarily in Morbi’s ceramic and paper mill sectors, energy-intensive industries with strong sustainability mandates and real motivation to decarbonise.
I led the entire build, land identification, feasibility studies, infrastructure planning, regulatory approvals across MSME/Udyog Aadhaar, GETCO, SLDC, PGVCL and local bodies, plant configuration, commissioning, and the ongoing work of keeping it running. Today the plant operates at ~99% uptime.
The operating work.
End-to-end project execution
Led every phase from land identification and feasibility to commissioning and sustained operations, not just the build, but the multi-year operating discipline that follows.
Regulatory navigation
Worked through approvals across MSME/Udyog Aadhaar registrations, GETCO, SLDC, PGVCL and local governing bodies. Building strong understanding of power-sector regulations, forecasting & scheduling, and grid compliance, critical for efficient dispatch and revenue realisation.
Plant design & optimisation
Selected solar panel manufacturers, transformers, ABT meters, VCB breakers, and cable networks to maximise solar yield and ensure efficient energy distribution across seasons.
Multi-vendor execution
Directed multi-vendor teams for installation and commissioning, achieving ~99% plant uptime through strong operational control and disciplined maintenance practices.
Wheeling & PSAs under Open Access
Executed Wheeling and Power Sale Agreements under Open Access regulations, supplying renewable energy directly to industrial clients in Morbi’s ceramic and paper mill sectors, supporting their decarbonisation and sustainability goals.
Capital deployment
Managed a sizeable capital investment for the setup and development of solar energy infrastructure, building a B2B clean-energy revenue model positioned within Gujarat’s industrial ecosystem.
An operating asset that has run quietly for years, supplying clean power to industrial Gujarat and contributing to the transition to renewable energy adoption.
